Led year-long communications efforts for The Community Within The Corridor, a $66 million Milwaukee redevelopment that was Wisconsin's largest privately owned affordable housing development at the time of its groundbreaking. My work helped connect the development team, project stakeholders, and surrounding community throughout this major initiative.

THE PROJECT
At the time of its 2021 groundbreaking, The Community Within The Corridor was Wisconsin's largest privately owned affordable housing development. The $66 million Milwaukee project was designed to bring 197 housing units, community services, recreational spaces, and neighborhood amenities to a former industrial property.
With multiple developers, partners, and community stakeholders involved, ongoing internal and external communications were essential to coordinating milestones, sharing project updates, and keeping the community informed.

Managed ongoing communications with the development team, project partners, and stakeholders throughout the year-long engagement.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Helped plan the groundbreaking celebration, including coordinating videography, flyer designs, and event logistics.
EVENT PLANNING & VENDOR COORDINATION
NEWSLETTERS & PROJECT UPDATES
Created newsletters and written updates to share project progress, important milestones, and developments.
Supported the groundbreaking press conference and served as moderator for the event attended by hundreds of community members and stakeholders.
PRESS CONFERENCE & MODERATION
The groundbreaking brought hundreds of community members, developers, and local leaders together to celebrate a major milestone for the $66 million development.
