STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS, PUBLICITY & EVENT EXECUTION
Supported Wellpoint Care Network's Green Stormwater Infrastructure initiative, part of a larger transformation of its historic 18-acre Milwaukee campus. Through strategic public relations and communications, I helped bring visibility to a project focused on environmental sustainability and community well-being.
TRANSFORMING A CAMPUS. CONNECTING A COMMUNITY.
THE PROJECT
Wellpoint Care Network partnered with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) on a green infrastructure initiative designed to manage stormwater runoff, reduce neighborhood flooding risks, and improve the surrounding environment.
The project included constructed wetlands, bioswales, and native landscaping designed to capture at least one million gallons of stormwater. As construction progressed, communicating updates and the project's community benefits became an important part of the initiative.
